We asked the Kansas City promoters on our tour to make us a flyer and this is what they sent us. The only drugs anyone brought us were a fog machine and one weird mildly speedy pill for kids with ADD. So we got high on good vibes instead. But we appreciate the sentiment and the MacPaint steez.
In November 2/3 of Bad Manor (Star Eyes and I) were lucky enough to hit up the midwest and play some crazy warehouse parties in places we never thought we would ever wind up in. Who knew that these little cities were so wild? We left pretty impressed at the levels of party we came across along the way. We fell in love with all of you and would be happy to return to those cities anytime. Louisville,Kansas City, Chicago and Minneapolis we would like to thank you for a more than epic tour. We put together this video so we can show the world how awesome you all are. XOXO

I have been feeling this classic from Germany’s X-mal Deutschland for a while but it’s freezing cold outside and I’m wearing a black turtleneck (so Sprockets!) – seems like a good time to bring this one back. Love this video! The dancing at :37 and 2:14 is the sickest and some wild hair in there as well. If I lived in Berlin in the mid-’80s this is definitely where I would have been…. (Actually, I *did* go to Germany in the mid-’80s but I was 7 years old, and I was obsessed with Falco.)
Come to think of it, a lot of good bands have X in their name, like…. X, for one. Also X-Ray Spex, Clan of Xymox, Xeno and Oaklander, Trans X. Maybe it’s a goth meme? If you’re feeling really black on the inside, check the Aaliyah “Hot Like Fire” cover by The XX as well.
I am at my parents’ house after a month of touring and I don’t think I have ever watched SO much TV in my entire life. Then I realized something after the millions and millions of holiday commercials….it’s December. Yep! The normal people in the world are already thinking about Xmas and I don’t even know what month/day/year it is. Awesome. But I DO know that this is the time to bust out the Mariah Carey Christmas album. Because we ALL know it’s amazing. And I also know that it is time to give this gem out. I mean what more can you ask for? Jingle BASS? Best ever. Cheers. XO
